Commitments

Over the past five years the annual average amount for AFD interventions in Djibouti stands at €4.6M. Gross commitments since 2001 have risen as shown below (in €M):

The following financings, allocated by AFD’s decision-making bodies and implemented after the signing of the relevant financing agreements, provide examples of AFD Group’s most recent and emblematic interventions:

1.      €1.95M of grants in 2005 for a project to support the Ministry of Education’s Master Plan in Djibouti (PASDED) (including €0.45M transferred from a former French Ministry of Foreign Affairs PSF (Priority Solidarity Fund);

2.       €6M of grants in 2005 for a project to support the fight against AIDS in Djibouti (including €1M for a cross-border component);

3.       €0.5M of grants in 2006 for a Study and Capacity Building Fund (SCBF);

4.       €8M of grants in 2006 for an Education For All project in Djibouti (EFAD).
