In the aftermath of the powerful earthquake that struck Haiti on 12 January 2010, the international community is energetically mobilizing. France has provided €20M of emergency aid and announced the cancellation of €54M of its bilateral debt. AFD has been active in the country since 1976 and is working to prepare its reconstruction alongside other international donors.
